Born and raised in NYC, Kate is an artist based in Brooklyn. The past few years, her body of work has explored what she notices while riding a specific bus route in Brooklyn, the B61. She pulls from her lifelong interest in photography and one of her earliest mediums of study, goauche, to create these paintings.

In 2005, Kate earned her MFA in Fiber Arts from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She earned her BA in Studio Art / Printmaking in 1994.
